What a fabulous weekend Main Street had visiting the Cape Canaveral/Melbourne Chapters as we sang in our first performance of the season in our home District of Sunshine. Our tenor, Roger was a former member of Cape Canaveral and has strong roots back to this chapter and its members.
The first show went very well. It was held in a church sanctuary that looked more like a theater. The chorus' music was inspiring and the audience enjoyed every moment from their "boys" on stage. Our local college quartet, iQuartet shared the stage with us ringing some big chords as they prepare for the upcoming competition in Portland. They should improve on last year's performance for sure. There was a bit of an incident when the first half of the show concluded. A woman passed out and the paramedics had to escort her in a gurney to the hospital. Rumor has it she may have suffered a stroke! We hope she's OK. It felt good to sing together again especially with the show season and contest cycle beginning. We definitely enjoy spending time together as both quarteters and friends and hope that translates on to the stage. The afterglow was held at the same church and Main Street sang some more old classics. Thank you to both the Cape Canaveral/Melbourne chapters for being such great hosts!

Main Street is very excited to get our spring show season off to a fabulous start this Saturday in Melbourne, Florida as we sing two performances on the Melbourne/Cape Canaveral show!
Main Street made an appearance on Sunday, February 12th at a family get together to celebrate the birthdays of two siblings, Bob and MaryAlice. The brother and sister duo are related to Toast of Tampa member, Marge VanDyke who surprised them with our visit. Live Out Loud, SAI International semi-finalists also performed at the special gathering which was held in Sun City, Fl. Both quartets had a fun evening singing songs and sharing time with some fantastic people.
